The Single Ingredient Required to Live Freely

What if the one thing standing between you and the life you sense is possible isn't a skill to learn, a habit to build, or a wound to heal — but simply a commitment you haven't fully made yet?

That was the realization that came up in a conversation I had recently. Not as a theory, but as a felt recognition: there is one ingredient required to live your potential, to embody love, to free yourself from the confines of the created self. And that ingredient is commitment. Not willpower. Not discipline. Just a genuine, wholehearted decision to prioritize the truth of what you are.

There is never any reason not to commit to that which truly matters to you.

What commitment actually looks like

This commitment isn't a go-getter energy. It isn't striving or pushing. This commitment is the commitment to remember the breath, the beauty, the gentleness — to keep leaning into yourself with softness, to keep allowing compassion and tenderness to arise from within.

Because the beginning and the end of all of this is a self-sourced sense of true and pure love. You are the place where it is generated, and when you allow that to be experienced your whole life — your entire projection outward — starts to reflect it back to you.

Where before your life reflected back survival, pain, resistance — the mirror of your personal self — at some point it begins to reflect the mirror of your infinite self.

If we want to make peace important — if we want to feel the actual embodiment of our natural state, this infinite neutrality, this physicality fully relaxed inside itself — then we have to allow energy, movement, vibration, and emotionality to flow. Feeling peaceful is not a mental adaptation. It is not a surfice level sense of peace. It is something that opens when we stop blocking what moves through us.

Stop using life to invalidate yourself

What we should never do is use life, and what life is doing, as a means of invalidating ourselves. Because you are already the truth of all of you, right now. If life is showing you things that are to be embraced and loved within yourself, that is simply the larger love being revealed — opening up as an inner fountain.

You are connected to an infinite fountain of pure love. You are connected to an infinite source of energy, an infinite light. There is nothing we can do about that truth. It simply is. And it has been articulated throughout different moments in time, different cultures, different traditions. It is all the same articulation, the same source.

The ego is not the enemy

As life shows you whatever it is showing you, the key is to come back to a gentle, compassionate relationship with your created self. I personally don't buy into the narrative that the ego is the enemy. We built this construct to survive a reality the best way we could. It had a function — until we started to realize we can gently let go of it.

We can let go of it by, every moment we want to act from that defended place, instead taking a breath and softening into ourselves with tenderness. Because no matter how you look at it, if all of creation has one foundation, then it has no opposite. There is no good or evil. There is no enemy. There is just the source of pure love clearly emanating — or the misunderstanding around it being projected and experienced.

Love has no opposite. And everything you look at with the eyes of love starts to reveal itself as that.

Everything is lifting off

This is where your awareness becomes your greatest tool — your ability to alchemize energy by breathing into it, by softening, by allowing it to flow and move through. You start to feel that everything is lifting off. Everything is lifting off except the part that never can, because it is eternal.

It is like Michelangelo chipping away at everything in the way of perceiving the beauty. But when you actually integrate the misunderstanding and the illusion within yourself — not make it an enemy, but see it clearly and open your heart to it — then you start to experience life purely, without the filter of the personal, without the misunderstandings.

And it really does begin to feel as though you are a source. A hub of vibrancy, of light, of love. You begin to source your experience of life not from how other people relate to you, but from how you have cultivated the ability to relate to the infinite self in all of us — not as a concept, but as a lived and integrated experience.

We don't have to improve the human

We don't have to change or improve the human. When you allow yourself to become aware of the infinite truth that dwells within every human as it is, what starts to become obsolete are all the conditioned and programmed ways of being. The created self simply starts to collapse, to crumble — because it is no longer needed.

There is no change required, because the part that wants to change is the created self. The soul is good with all. It has no other way than to simply be, to float, to emanate.

And you are that soul.

Be tender and soft

The most important thing, always, is to be tender and soft with yourself. Every moment is new. Cultivate a sense of softness — because really, all a created self wants to hear is: you did all right. You did the best you could with the awareness you had. You are doing the best you can in every moment. It is okay. You don't need to be better. It is okay.

Every cell in your body can soften and open. Releasing everything no longer needed — everything based in survival, in identity, in the past, in imprint, in generational patterns. And in releasing that, something can be revealed: one core energy that the entire creation is built from.

You are always held

You are always supported. And at some point you begin to know yourself as that which holds you, because that is who and what you are. An infinite pulsation of receptivity, of warmth, of light. No matter how much rage you have to feel, no matter how much fear you have to shake out, no matter how many tears you have to cry — none of that defines who and what you are.

That truth was always there. The commitment is simply to stop looking away from it.
