Maybe The Miraculous Is Hidden In Plain Sight?

We spend so much of our lives waiting. Waiting for the big moment, the breakthrough, the thing that will finally prove that life is beautiful and meaningful and worth showing up for. The spontaneous healing. The financial abundance. The dream relationship.

But what if that's exactly the wrong place to look?

The waves and the ocean

Most of us are so identified with the waves of life that we've forgotten we are also the ocean. When you hyper-identify with the highs and lows — with the ebbing and flowing of circumstances, moods, and experiences — something predictable happens. When life is good, you grip it. When life is hard, you want out immediately. And in both cases, you never fully land anywhere.

But when you start to feel yourself as something more expanded — as that which doesn't fluctuate underneath all the fluctuation — something shifts. A heightened appreciation opens up. Not just for the good moments, but for the sheer fact that everything is happening at all.

The insanity of ordinary life

Stop for a second and actually look at what is happening right now. Everything in your body is functioning — without your instruction, without your effort, without your management. Your heart is beating. Your lungs are exchanging gases with the atmosphere in a loop so elegant it could make you cry. What you exhale, nature inhales. What nature exhales, you inhale. The liquid in your body moves according to the same principles as the ocean. Your cells vibrate at the same frequency as the cosmos.

This is insane. Not metaphorically. Actually insane. And yet we walk past all of it, entirely absorbed in the psychological drama of our lives, while the most extraordinary thing imaginable is happening right underneath our noses. Creation was smart enough to hide out right there. In your breath. In the simple act of being alive.

Perceiving the miraculous in the mundane

What if success wasn't what we've been told it is? What if success — real success — was simply this: perceiving the miraculous in the mundane. In your breath. In the food you eat. In the feeling of your feet touching the earth. In the moment when you think of someone and they appear on your phone. In a genuine smile from a stranger.

These moments are not background noise. They are the thing itself. We are feeling beings, sensing beings. And there are worlds inside us to uncover — infinite inner realms available the moment we stop letting the psycho-drama pull our attention away from them. The more simplistic our relationship with our humanity, the more infinite our experience of life can become.

Magic is not external

Here is the shift that changes everything: magic is not external. It is not the abundance of money. It is not the dream partner. It is not the dramatic external event that rearranges your life. Those things, received while entangled in the psychological drama of survival and striving, will not fulfill you anyway. You get the money and immediately want more. You find the relationship and immediately become afraid of losing it. The goalpost moves. It always moves.

Magic is an internal experience that you get to perceive out of everything that appears to be external. When you experience life from that inner place — from the awareness of unified energy, of oneness — the gap between internal and external begins to dissolve. That dissolution is what the awareness of oneness actually makes possible. Not as a concept. A lived experience. And from that place, everything that comes your way can be received so much more fully.

Unbuckling from the psycho-drama

The thing that blocks our access to this magical version of life is the incessant need to think everything up. To interpret everything, mostly for the worst. To get stuck in what the mind is looping and endlessly workshop it. Haven't we done that version of life? The one where we try to control everything, figure everything out, micromanage every outcome?

There is a different possibility. Instead of gripping every puzzle piece, we take a breath and surrender it to the greater unfolding. This doesn't mean passivity. It simply means: make the step, and let go. Make the step, and let go. What would it feel like to inhabit a body that isn't running on heightened intensity and survival? That very shift might be the magic.

The pain body has no more use

There is a blueprint many of us carry — what some have called the pain body. A map made up of past versions of ourselves, old survival patterns, accumulated residue from everything we have been through. We don't need to analyze it or workshop it. We simply need to let it go. We are interested in knowing how the infinite version of our life looks. And that version exists beyond the survival imprinting, beyond the mental marination, beyond the psycho-drama. It is a version of life in which every moment holds something sacred, because we are awake enough to notice.

A curious, vibrant life

What becomes possible when you stop trying to fix everything and start getting curious instead? You start to wonder: how amazing can it actually feel to be a human being? What can human beings do — really do — when every particle, every atom, every bit of DNA is vibrating at the frequency of truth? Of pure love? Of the potential of creation itself? Not in spite of our humanity. In this form. Through this form.

That curiosity is not the elevated, frantic high of the personality. It is something quieter — a vibrant aliveness that exists in calm, in neutrality, in the simple awareness of being here. Because as much as the human part of you is stepping into it and discovering it, your infinite nature already knows all of it. Already is all of it. And in that beautiful dance — of life, of movement, of energy — you find yourself.

Being human is super

We spend a lot of energy wishing we were beyond the human experience — more enlightened, less affected, further along. But the invitation is the opposite. It is to land more fully in the realization that being human is not the limitation. It never was. It is not about being a superhuman, but about realizing that being human is super.

Life will bring you what you need to keep existing until the day your form ends. And even when your form ends, your energy continues. You are provided for in this simplistic, fundamental way — no matter the circumstances.

That, if you let it really land, is the most exciting thing imaginable.

Creation hid the magic in plain sight. It was always there.
